Privacy Policy

Stagemonitor is local-first. The app does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics, tracking, cloud sync, or developer-operated telemetry.

Effective and last updated: July 30, 2026

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to the Stagemonitor macOS application and this website. Stagemonitor is provided by the developer identified in its Mac App Store listing.

2. Data stored on your Mac

Stagemonitor stores the information you enter into a project locally. This may include cue identifiers, titles, durations, colors, tags, department notes, playlist order, active-cue state, timer settings, and autosave information. Projects are saved as JSON files in a location you choose, and an autosave is kept in the app’s Application Support folder.

macOS may retain a security-scoped bookmark so the app can reopen the last project you selected. This bookmark represents the file location and access grant; it does not contain the project itself.

3. Local network sharing

Network sharing starts only when you enable it. The public timer server uses unencrypted HTTP and can expose the countdown, local clock, current and next cue titles, and limited display state. It does not expose the full rundown, department notes, or timer controls.

Your network configuration matters.

Your Mac firewall, router, VPN, and any port-forwarding rules determine who can reach shared views. Use public sharing only on networks you trust.

4. NDI output

When available and started by you, NDI output sends video pixels of the selected Timer, Rundown, or Operator view over the network. Rundown and Operator views can reveal the full cue list and department notes. NDI groups affect discoverability; they are not authentication or encryption.

NDI networking is provided by a third-party runtime from Vizrt NDI AB. Learn more at ndi.video.

5. Diagnostic and operational data

The app keeps limited operational information in memory while it runs, such as recent local API actions, current peer addresses, network-interface information, and video frame buffers. This information is not sent to us and is cleared as the relevant service or app session ends.

6. This website

This website does not use advertising, analytics, or non-essential cookies. Its hosting provider may process basic request information such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, and security events to deliver and protect the site.

7. Retention and deletion

  • Project files remain until you delete them.
  • The autosave remains in Application Support until it is removed.
  • The bookmark for the last selected project remains until it is replaced or cleared.

8. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the app, website, or legal requirements change. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to privacy@stagemonitor.app.
